I have fixed up quite a few cars through the years. Lately I have gotten away from cars and I have worked more on motorcycles and snowmobiles.
1976 Chevrolet Vega GT
This is my first car. I bought it new when I was a senior in high school, and I still have it. It was pretty well optioned for a vega, having tilt wheel, 5-speed transmission, radial tires, tinted glass and day-night mirror. My friend, Dale Wood, and I made the spoiler out of metal.
1973 AMX 401
I bought this car when I was in college. I had to replace the engine and the passenger side quarter panel. This car really moved, with a 4.10 posi rear end!
1974 Mustang II Mach 1
When I got married, we sold the AMX and bought this Mustang II. It was a V6 automatic, and was horribly slow. We kept it only a couple of years and sold it.
1971 Camaro
My wife bought this car for me as a Christmas present. I did some mechanical work to it and repainted it black. I sold this car before I had a chance to enjoy it.
1973 MGB GT
That's Joe leaning on my MG. The picture makes it look better than it was. The previous owner had removed the dead MG powertrain and installed a Toyota engine and transmission. It never did run quite right, and it ended up sitting in my neighbor's barn waiting for me to find the right engine.
1976 Trans Am
I bought this car from a local kid that ran it off the end of a T intersection and bent the front up slightly. I had the subframe straightened and had it ready to paint, but I ended up selling it to my neighbor kid to help finance remodel work I was doing on our first house.
1976 Corvette
I always wanted a 'vette, so I bought this one very reasonably. I didn't think it was very comfortable, as my head rested against the t-top and it didn't have much shoulder or leg room. That's Joe's '78 Camaro next to it, and my '67 MGB in the background.
